Risen from the depths an old Deviant emerges.

Wed Feb 20, 2008, 2:23 PM
I bet many of you thought you'd never see the likes of me around this old place but alas I have returned. For how long, I cannot say but hopefully for a while. It's been close to a year and a half since I've done anything here and more than 2 since I've submitted anything. After all that time I look back on my old submissions for the first time and I see them with new eyes. Some I think are still decent, others I think are not as good as they were when they were conceived, and still others I just wonder "WTF!". What will I do with some submissions? That I cannot say. I may keep them as a reminder that this is where I started, some I may delete simply for the fact that there's nothing special about them.
Well I guess if you're reading this you're wondering what made me return. I suppose out of boredom and the fact I have a creative writing class at college now and may post some things here. Some of my stuff may actually be worth posting while some of it is so so. I have some poetry I plan to post and (hopefully) soon some fiction that I'll be writing later in the class. I don't know if I'll pursue anything else with Photoshop anymore but I think my gallery could use more written work (that isn't overly melodramatic). Then again I installed Photoshop on my new laptop just now so you never know. I haven't touched it probably since Fall semester of my freshman year at NCC when I had my graphic design class. Other than that I can't remember when I used it last.
A lot has happened since I have last been here last. First off I'm a junior at Franklin and Marshall College down in Lancaster PA. I transferred in last semester as a junior and soon enough I'll be a senior next fall. I'm majoring in Astrophysics now and so far I love it. I plan to do research over the summer with my Astro professor which I hope will be a lot of fun.
I'm now in a relationship too which, I know, is surprising. I won't go into details too much but we've been together for 9 months at the end of February. This goes without saying she isn't down here at F&M with me so that pretty much means it's kind of a long distance thing but I'm optimistic that we can handle it. Especially since I come home damn near every weekend to see her.
A lot has changed since I've been on here last and there's way too much to list in a single journal entry. Those of you who have been with me in the last couple years probably know all this and more. Most likely to all my friends on DA this is new information and I'm sorry if I haven't been able to tell you everything that's been going on with me lately.

A much needed update

Tue Aug 15, 2006, 6:03 PM
Ok so I figured it's time for me to update this thing. I haven't been on too much and have been quite busy lately. I've been busy with summer classes in order to get caught up on my major. Toward the end of Spring Semester I changed my major to Math/Physics. I want to go into some field of science since I'm pretty good with math and science. In a few days I'll be finished with Calc II and when fall semester rolls around I'll be busy with Cal III. I definitly can't wait to get back to school to see some friends and the anime club. Soon I'll have to decide where I want to go when I finish my courses at NCC. I'm getting tired of staying in PA and I really want to see other places. I've never traveled much and I really want to. Well I doubt I'll update this anytime soon so later.

Snake Online?

Mon Mar 6, 2006, 7:32 PM
So yeah lately has been pretty cool. On Saturday I managed to beat Metal Gear Solid for the PSX. I got the good ending and was able to start the game over with the bandana which gives you infinite ammo. After that I went through the game again pretty quickly because I skipped all the codec messages and the cinemas. I blazed through it again and got the bad ending which allowed me to start over again with the stealth cammo. On Sunday I beat the game a third time with the stealth cammo and bandnana. Now I have to work on beating MGS2: The Sons of Liberty. During the weekend I also preordered MGS3: Subsistance and since I preordered it I get an awesome DVD with my order. That's not the only reason I preordered it. I bought it because of all the new features that Snake Eater didn't have. I'm really looking forward to trying my hand at the online multiplayer. This is one thing I never expected a MGS game to pull off.

Metal Gear Solid

Man I feel all nostalgic and stuff. I mean MGS is such a sweet game. Even after like 8 years it's still cool to play on the PSX. Even though I have Twin Snakes I never really played it since my brother said the controls weren't as good as the Playstation version. Even though the graphics aren't that great anymore, the graphics are not what make it shine. I mean would they remake it if it was a bad game? Definitley not. The music, characters, and gameplay are what make it so memorable. 10 years from now people won't even think about Madden 2006 because another Madden will replace it (and nobody wants old sports games).
Seriously you can walk into an EB, look at the PSX section and find nothing but sports games. It's really sad.

Wow I never thought I'd reach 1,000 views. To some people this isn't much but I never expected to have soo many. Well I'm out.
